Medair - charity fundraising film
What the organisation needed
A 2 minute fundraising video for their Big Give campaign.

Challenges
a) we needed to create narrative structure and call to action using existing footage - so had to consider what content was available for us before we could structure the video.
b) taking care to ensure the film was handled sensitively and never felt exploitative or voyeuristic, especially given the inclusion of upsetting material.

Our solutions & approach
a) We worked with their team to create a voiceover script which we could then build the footage around. This gave us a defined structure which ended with a clear call to action.
b) We didn't dwell on the problems faced by the beneficiaries and moved the video to the solution offered by the charity relatively early into the video. We also made sure to include the voices of local volunteers and staff, so that the voices of people on the ground were included.

Outcome and impact
This two minute video helped Medair raise over £100,000 for their Big Give campaign, which exceeded their fundraising target.
